I have been enjoying Zoey quite a lot. So many developing story lines, plus music, and dancing!
Comedy 1: A Little Song, a Little Dance, a Little Seltzer Down Your Pants
This thread is for comedy TV, including network and cable shows. [NAFDA]
I'm also watching Zoey. More for the songs than the stories. Any show that can dig up "The Great Pretender," never mind using it as a springboard for an entire episode, gets my attention.
They've got a fun assortment of songs. I'm not so sure about the plots, but that's okay.
They seem to have at least one plot per character. It looked from previews that Zoey is going to confide in Max about her new ability. I'd like to see that happen. For only a handful of episodes and taking time for all the delightful music, they have quite a number of interpersonal dynamics going on there. This is the first show in a while I have watched that is a week by week thing. I've only done marathon viewing for ages.
ZEP seems like something I should like (the elevator pitch must have included Wonderfalls meets CexG right??) but I've watched 3 episodes and it is NOT MY THING AT ALL. Everything about it makes my skin crawl.
I'm sorry, Jess. I really have enjoyed the last 3 more than the first 3, so consider it again if your queue gets shorter over the summer.
I can see that. There are some aspects that really don't sit right with me but I am kind of setting them aside to see if they get better because other parts do work for me well.

Oh, interesting -- I think I have three sitting on my DVR! I'll give them a shot, as a different member of the Jess* contingent.
Aw, yeah, Doug Judy
I was stressed that the reverse heist was actually a double bluff, glad they didn't go there
Aw, yeah, Doug Judy
Literally what I yelled when I realized it was a Doug Judy episode. With bonus Trudy Judy!
