I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This has taught me to always assume The Good Place is doing the bold thing I wouldn't think they are doing.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

You guys convinced me it had to be a simulation because of Chidi's accent

He never had an accent in his flashbacks. I think that Chidi's personality wouldn't allow him to speak a second language with an accent, especially if he was teaching in that language, because an accent might make it harder for students to understand what he was trying to get across. That would be unacceptable for Chidi.

Did anyone else watch A.P. Bio? It features another philosophy professor, but one who is the polar opposite of Chidi. Every philosophical principle Jack Griffin talks about on APB is used to justify self-serving behavior. It was kind of jarring to see that in the same approximate time slot as The Good Place. (That said, I really like APB, although a lot of that may be because there are times I'd really like to tell my class that "you can begin to shut up now.")

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

He never had an accent in his flashbacks.

According to Shur, they have an in-universe explanation for the accent issues.

BTW, y'all need to subscribe to The Good Place Podcast, which is hosted by Mark Evan Jackson and so far has had Mike Shur and 2 of the writers and the casting director as guests. It's quite fun! (Although there's something wrong with the sound levels, I think.)

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Rewatching Brooklyn 99 - it's the first season's Halloween episode, which is ALSO the first appearance of Santiago's "name of your sex tape" gag: "Kind, Sober, and Fully Clothed."

Aw

What a weird thing to be sentimental about. But I'll own it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I just rewatched the episode of The Good Place where Maximum Derrick shows up at Mindy St. Clair's place with two duffel bags of cocaine.

[sniff]

So beautiful.

I realized it was sort of like the Bizarro World version of Buffy's Class Protector Award.

But Mindy really did deserve that cocaine.

Our wings are not tired.

Ha, that was a lovely moment. Waiting impatiently for new episodes!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I finally started watching Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. I really knew nothing of the plot and thought it started with a break-up from a young adult relationship. so. huh.

It's a bit "watch-from-the-hall" for me, but I can see why so many people told me to watch it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, I'll be interested in what you think as it goes on.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Ooooh, me too.
