So, I have two...theories? Ideas? Things?
Either 1) They're gonna acknowledge Janet's character arc in the relatively near future. Because she most definitely made a moral choice all on her own when she committed to being a convincing Bad Janet. Which means she's not very good at being a Janet anymore.
Or 2) There's an extra layer in all of this, beyond Michael's experiment, that someone (either the Janets or someone working through the Janets?) is up to something, possibly seeing if it's possible for Bad Place people to become Good Place people (whether that means people-people like Eleanor et al or not-people like Michael).
I did not imagine that for The Good Place.
So, this season was really good. But even if it had sucked, it would have been worth it to see Ted Danson behind a bar again. That was PERFECT.
And I shrieked when Chidi kissed Eleanor.
He does make a good barkeep.

So so so perfect!!! This show! I never saw any of that coming. I am always surprised, and never in the "that was a rip off" kind of way.
I can't believe that's it for the season! Forrrrrrkkkk. I need more! And what's up with the rest of them??
I am torn between which of Chidi's expressions was the best: the dawning realization as Janet poured her heart to Jason or the look when Jason describedthe events a year.
Chidi is the best. I was expecting a speech not action so I did scream when he kissed her.
I can't believe we have to wait a year for more Good Place. This show just KEEPS GETTING BETTER. In a weird way I think this show has actually achieved what Lost was going for all those years? THIS is how you build a narrative using flashbacks and resets.
I want Janet to make her way into the real world.
Are they in the real world, or are they in another simulation?
And I shrieked when Chidi kissed Eleanor.
Yeah, that was very decisive of Chidi, which made it extra hot given that Chidi is Chidi.
There is no way in The Bad Place that I could have predicted where the show went with this episode. Initially I was like, "while it's lovely to see Eleanor trying to be a good person, I don't want the show the keep the characters separated, wahhh." Then we had that scene with Michael and Eleanor flying to Australia (!) to Chidi, and everything was all right again.
