I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Watched the pilot of The Good Place last night. Yay.

Also, it took me a day and a half to get the joke of having "Tapped That Ass" on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend set to an actual tap dance. Best Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor routine that never existed.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That was terrific.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Is anyone watching Superstore? If B99 is the successor to Parks and Rec, Superstore is the natural follower of The Office US, what with the clueless manager, portrayal of drudgery of dead-end jobs, the whole finding-moments-of-grace-among-mundanity angle, and the star-crossed slow burn main couple (Amy and Jonah are totally the new Jim and Pam.)

And then! Garrett and Dina! Who are rather giving me the Dwight and Angela vibe. For some weird reason, I am really invested in that relationship? The Halloween ep was a lot of fun, in particular Garrett not being able to deal with his sudden attraction to Dina. (Colton Dunn's delivery of "I am having the weirdest day!" with that plaintive crack in his voice = the best ever.)

Oh really? The ads for Superstore somehow gave me the impression I would hate it. Although, to be fair, I think I had that impression of The Office when it started, too.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

It's a great little show -- it's got all the trappings of conventional workplace sitcom, but frequently manages to subvert your expectations. The show is blessed with an excellent diverse cast and is great at making tart social commentaries without being preachy. It's also got a very sweet core and has less element of cringe comedy than The Office, which I appreciate.

Good to know, thank you!

List is misleading, there's a spreadsheet.

That's maybe one of the favorite things I've read lately.

Now I will check out The Good Place. This thread is why I started Community back when. It's a good track record.

I still have Tapped That Ass stuck in my head. Last night needed more songs, but it was nice to see the inside of Josh's head.

Also, I am now out of The Good Place to watch. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.

Captain Holt eating a "marshed mallow" may be my new favorite thing.

I love Captain Holt so much! Nothing will ever beat his dance off with the street kids though.
