Well, quite a lot of fuss. If I didn't know better, I'd think we were dangerous.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Verdict: It was so much fun! Even though two actors (Isabella and King Richard) got stranded in New Jersey by United and were present only via intermittent, extremely obscene Skype. (Timothy O., on being asked what other show he'd like to see his character magically transported into: "What a great question! Let's see, there are so many great ones, but I think I'd have to say FUCK UNITED! But really Mad Men.")

Everyone was witty and charming, and Matilda nearly burst with excitement when I reminded her that Sid had also been POP POP on Community *and* a Hogwarts student. And she worked up enough courage to ask a question during the Q&A (How many seasons do you think this show should have? To which Sid answered "Eight and syndication," and Madelena "Seven and two movies"), and during drinks with Queen Elizabeth afterward the showrunners praised her and thought she was delightful and well-spoken and asked her to ask me for her favorite characters so they could send her some autographed pictures.

Also, Queen Elizabeth now has true for real business cards that say "HRH Elizabeth Tudor: Rich Hobo."

Plus, to compensate for being down two actors the showrunners decided to spoil everyone with two numbers from upcoming episodes (I think one tonight, and one next week) and they are the kind of numbers that will make musical geeks keel over backward giggling and kicking their feet in the air with glee.

Plus plus, Sketchfest decided to apologize for United's fuckery by comping every audience member a ticket to another show during the fest. So, since I got my fun with Matilda, in a couple of weeks David will get to have his fun with her attending an Adventure Time panel with some of the writers and most of the actors except Finn and PB.

Altogether, quite the successful evening.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That sounds fantastic.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Big Bang Theory: It seemed out of character, but I enjoyed the end bit of Thursday's episode. The combination of glee and ecstasy and embarrassment on Leonard's face while playing jump rope with a group of little girls....

also, I half-expected Bernie to suggest converting Stewart's room into a nursery.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

also, I half-expected Bernie to suggest converting Stewart's room into a nursery.

Yeah, I think that is the impression we were supposed to get.

Tina Fey just scared my cats out of the living room.

Yep. She was in the cold open as Sarah Palin, and did the Xena war cry thing. Somehow that scared the crap out of them, but explosions, monster movies, and such on considerably louder volume don't so much as make them look at the TV.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

OMG, I'm so happy John Oliver is back but his bit on the New Zealand incident (and, no, I'm not going to clarify - spoilers) made me laugh so hard I think I threw my back out.

I haven't been reduced to helpless, crying laughter like that in a long time. I forgot how much fun that can be. And painful.
