I knew it was coming but I'm still not ready. Just as I am happy with how caught up on my DVR I am, Netflix drops 7.5 hours of new Arrested Development on me...
I know! I just watched the first ep, and it's very hard not to mainline them.
Yeah, I feel like I should at least make an effort to do something else between episodes...we'll see how that goes.
I'm six episodes in, and the show's still got it, and mainlining is the way to go, honestly, because the whole story is so dense and callback-y. I'm having a little trouble keeping track of the whole timeline, so it's good to have all the connections so fresh.
Fuck! I was wondering what I was going to watch today! I'm so glad I caught up on this thread, because I forgot it was the 26th today.
Must behave and also listen to the online course I'd promised myself to, but...whoo!
Just finished! I feel like I need a wiki to put together what the hell just happened.
That was totally a cameo by Dan Harmon, wasn't it?
(I feel like we should whitefont here, but it could also go in Premium where it wouldn't--does that make sense?)
YES IT WAS!
I guess technically Netflix would be Premium, but it feels weird not to talk about AD in here. Maybe follow movie rules? Whitefont for two weeks?
Oh, yeah, I hadn't really thought about it, but yeah.
But it's so Comedy with a capital C, it should be here! But I'm only halfway through and don't want to dodge spoilers. But will I avoid reading discussion wherever it happens? Unlikely.
I was actually kind of underwhelmed by the first episode, but it's certainly accumulating nicely. I find that I am already looking forward to the commentary tracks where I hope to find out what decisions were to make production easier/possible, I suspect that will be extremely interesting.
