I, otoh, had forgotten about the grocery store set up by the time we got to the end and was deeply amused. The whole episode totally worked for me. Well, I was a little disappointed that they ended up actually buying a new car, but that's more because I've never bought a new car so it seems extravagant to me.

Right--Parks and Rec. I was going to catch up on that, but I've seriously watched so much (for me) sitcom in the past year or so, it feels rash to take up something not on the brink of imminent demise.

Is it? On the brink, I mean. And imminently.

Not that I've heard. 30 Rock and The Office are officially ending this season, and I think Parks and Rec is doing pretty well, ratings-wise, so my uninformed opinion is that it'll stick around some more.

So I was all excited that HIMYM might end this season, after last night's episode, but no. Maybe there will be a 9th season. [link] Which, sure, they could do something with it, and I still like watching it, but they could just wrap it up and move on with their lives!

Yeah, I was actually bummed to see it extended.

Oh, that's for sure? Oy vey. I clearly didn't google that hard.

Hmm, yeah, I don't know how to react to that news. I was just starting to enjoy the wrapping-things-up feeling of his season.

Apparently it's not official, but it's happening. And it sounds like we WILL meet the mother next season, but the network isn't ruling out continuing the series after that.
