Thrive to spite them

Community does nice call backs to previous episodes or little set ups for future ones. In the student body election episode when Troy and Abed were doign commentary the ticker at the bottom had a few things (I'm blanking on them) but I think one was about no paint ball and then something about a Western theme.

Then when Shirley had her baby several of the other characters are complaining about how the study group makes it all about them and Starburns says something about them being out at St Patrick's day (which was in the fake clip episode).

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, one I just thought of, thanks to the Olympics Opening Ceremony:

"I need help reacting to something."

Oh, yes -- I can't believe I forgot that one. I think I played that back ten times in a row.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

"My whole brain is crying"

I look more rad than Lutheranism

"My whole brain is crying"

Ahahahaha, yes!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If I was going to pick a Community quote I needed the most in real life, I think that would be it. There are a million applicable ones, but that one is front and centre.

I might need a life upgrade.

"I have the weirdest boner" strikes me as being in second place, but it does bear more examination.

I'm putting Arrested Development on my calendar so I've finished the series for my sister's 40th, as part of her birthday present. I need to work out a reasonable pace, but I'm gonna see how 8 episodes this weekend goes. I know with Community that would be no problem in a day, so I hope this is as good as she raves.

I only watched Arrested Development as it aired, so I don't know how it marathons, but it's fast-paced with a lot of call-backs and just a high density of jokes so I would guess it should work out pretty well. Enjoy!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You've never seen it, ita !? Oh man, you are in for a treat. Yes, marathoning will work really well. There are jokes I only got the second or third time around; the callbacks are insane.

We were hovering on a trade--Community for AD. I had tried before--I'm watching the pilot now, and I'd seen this before, and I had watched the Charlize Theron eps when they aired (which is why I held out so long), and I've only gotten her to watch the paintball ep and one other Community one so far.

But, since I'm a fabulous big sister, here I go...

Yeah, that makes sense. That was not good.
