Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Do you think the answer is ever "no"?

I bet sometimes it's "Let's find out". That's when things get fun.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So NBC is moving "Community" to Fridays.

After Whitney.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I get not wanting to put it up against Big Bang Theory, but moving it to that spot is pretty much a death blow, isn't it?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think you'd better presume those 13 eps of Community will be their last.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

On the plus side, I don't see it losing viewers from its lead-in if they can sit through Whitney for 30 minutes. (Presumably they've been immobilized by some malady or injury and left with the TV on NBC.)
