Occasionally I’m callous and strange

How many public High Schools have tenured faculty members? And in what world does a guidance counselor get tenured?

Thrive to spite them

I think the school district Mom worked for had some sort of tenure. She was classified a teacher even though she wasn't in the clasroom (she worked special ed doing different things) and had a jackhole for a boss (seriously the man hated kids and women, and still works for the school district.) She started getting worried about her position, she wasn't worried about losing her pay or being fired (because of the tenure-y thing) but she was worried about being shoved in some horrible made up job and waiting it out until she could retire.

This never happened, but her ex boss was seriously horrible. He'd tell her to tell parents the school district couldn't provide things they were legally obligated to. And then when the parents would protest he'd turn around and say things like "I have no idea why askye's Mom would do deny that! We're legally obligated to! Rest assured she will be dealt with!"

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I know the teachers in my small town school had tenure of some sort (not the same process as professors go through though). When we were kids we thought it was called "ten-year" and you got it after ten years. I think it was always coming up in the context of some teachers who drank in the classroom.

erin, do not try to apply any form of logic to Glee. That will lead to rage and insanity.
