Thrive to spite them

I was pacing myself but I got on a roll and pretty much spent the whole day watching Community.

now there's none left. Well I could watch the clips on Hulu.

Sigh, Community dvds are going to the top of my wish list, as soon as I have some money to spend on that.

I'm still trying to suck Will in. He liked the episodes I showed him but he said he'd still rather be watching Big Bang Theory.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

he said he'd still rather be watching Big Bang Theory.

I am totally the opposite -- now that I've watched the first 2 seasons of Community, I am really irritated with BBT. Which makes me feel guilty, like I'm cheating on a partner.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Interesting, they just seem very different to me. They are also not on opposite each other here, so I am not led to compare them by scheduling.

What makes you irritated with BBT?

I have to admit at first I thought it would be cool to see Sheldon and Abed together, but that would be a bad idea. Sheldon would make put Abed down. However, I still think it would be cool to see Howard, Raj, and Leonard interact with Abed and Troy.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Michael Patrick King Has a Meltdown at 2 Broke Girls’ Panel:

The questioning again shifted to the ethnic stereotypes on the show, and eventually, King exploded. "I'm gay!" he said, adding that he found "it comedic to take everyone down."

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Meg and I started watching Community. It's awesome. You all get a toaster.

And one from me. I just caught up on two seasons in a couple of weeks. Can't believe I've never watched it before. Season two's particularly good. Claymation at Christmas. Hah.

Occasionally it does freak me out by being the college where I teach, though.

That they're in their 4th season and it's the same old schticks for everyone -- Leonard gets exasperated with one of the guys, usually Sheldon, and does that reaction of outrage/shock/whatever, which is expressed by a blank look and usually rolling his eyes to the ceiling.

Sheldon, though I love him, is still an annoying dick to people 99% of the time. Plus, his newly codified relationship with Amy is the Titanic waiting to hit the iceberg of asexuality.

Raj -- still can't talk to women.

Howard -- still lives with his mother despite being engaged, what the fuck, man?

The "joke" about Howard's mother always bellowing crude things from offscreen got old after the second or third episode of S1.

I still love Stuart the comic book guy, and I generally love Leonard's mom and Sheldon's mom (except the last episode that she was in was way too over the line with the racist shit). And I have unreasonable love for Penny's ex, Zack.

And I really loved Amy until about halfway through this season, when she just got really, really annoying with her neediness (not towards Sheldon, but towards Penny and Bernadette).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Good god, I no longer want to watch 2 Broke Girls. That guy was a royal douchenozzle.

Congrats, Michael Patrick. Good job.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I'm not gonna click on that Michael Patrick King article for the sake of my blood pressure.

I've watched several eps of the show, because Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs have great chemistry and are so much better than the material. I want to keep watching because there aren't that many shows out there that showcase a strong female friendship, but everything outside their friendship is so freaking annoying. God.

Seriously, Vonnie, don't. He's an amazing douche.

I do like the frank bad language of the show. I'm totally okay with talking about vaginas and tampons, and if you have to dress up a facial to get it past the CBS standards & practices, go for it!

But, seriously, the comedy is lacking, and the Latino, Asian, and Italian (just to list the first three that occur to me) characterisations are *horrible*. Jesus Christ on a crutch. A stupid, ineffective, comedy crutch.
