Okay, this is really sad. Gawker has an article on it: [link] as does IO9: [link]
On the Gawker post, many people don't seem to get it, and a number of commenters are explaining it, and nobody's going "Duh, that's the point of the post". Whereas everyone on IO9 is on the page of "That's so clever!"
Because it's not just Community that's funny, it's the things you do with Community people.
Dear god, that's hilarious.
It's hard to pick a winner, but I think I have to go with Ken Jeong on this one.
Have started watching Big Bang Theory(Both DVD and syndicated) and have come to the uncomfortable conclusion that I'm too much like Howard Wollowitz, despite not being Jewish.
I live with my mother, and when I try to be flirty or sound hot it almost always goes wrong.
And I do think most of my friends are more educated that I am.
So apparently Community won reader favorite in a TV Guide poll, and they're on the cover this week. Watching them discuss this on the Today Show was funny -- no one, of course, mentioned that the show's been pulled.
I have a friend who works at NBC, and based on what she's heard, she thinks the show was pulled because they expect one of their new midseason shows to fail, and they'll have
Community
ready to replace it with, even on a different night.
Oh my god, PAINTBALL.
t edit
Er, that wasn't a commentary on Community as a mid-season replacement or NBC's methods of communicating same. I just watched the paintball episode, is all.
P-C,
I understand that, but NBC's communication failures are epic. They could have just said that Community will be expected to air as a mid-season replacement and there would have been light angst, but nothing like releasing a schedule and oops! it isn't there.
