Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

He always cracks himself up. Laughing = breaking.

Because books.

Oh! Gotcha.

That was always my favorite part of Carol Burnett, though -- when Harvey Korman would lose it.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Last night we were watching an old episode of Cheers and I was sure Rhea Perlman broke up Ted Danson and Shelley Long for real. After that I had to see if Carol Burnett is on Netflix (Sadly no) as the breakups were always my favorite part (siamese elephants brings tears to my eyes even just typing it now.)

But you know what is on Netflix? Raising Hope! I missed most of the first season. Dream Hoarders just made me choke on my orange juice.

D rejected the show after the pilot but I bet I can get him to watch one more episode. What do you think is the best one to get him hooked on this show?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

That bit is one of the funniest moments ever. [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The actors? Huh?

Thrive to spite them

For some reason the Carl Burnett show dvds are owned by Columbia House (or the rights are I guess) so they do that - buy now before they go back in the vault ! thing where you end up with a subscription service for all 20 dvds.

yes, the scene seemed cut short and I thought maybe they couldn't stop laughing during filming.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

There's a second in The Wizard of Oz where Bert Lahr cracks up Judy Garland, but she hides it by burying her mouth into Toto's fur. It's when Dorothy smacks the Cowardly Lion on the mouth for chasing after Toto, and he asks, "Am I bleeding?" Apparently, they tried filming it multiple times, and Judy completely lost it each time. Finally, Victor Fleming (the director) took her behind the set and just reamed her out (or maybe actually hit her? I can't remember the details), but either way, she calmed down enough that she was able to curb most of her reaction.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Finished with the first disc of S1 of Community (the last one we saw was the Day of the Dead party episode).

I would watch a show that was nothing but Troy and Abed, OH MY GOD.
