She's terse. I can be terse. Once in flight school, I was laconic.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I've now watched half of the first season of Archer. Including the "unaired pilot", where they redo the entire first episode with Archer replaced by a screeching velociraptor. The entire episode.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

We're into the second season of Community. Whoever wrote the music for the space simulator episode is a genius.

Emmett felt very gypped by that!

But Season Two is even better.

The fact that they maintained a wide range of vocalisations kept me going with it for some time. And "JESUS CHRIST, he's got an erection!" is funny either way.

I think my favourite scene so far comes from "Killing Utne":

Malory: Well, what about the ground breaking work that Dr. Krieger is doing for ISIS in our Applied Research Division?
Pam: Yeah, tell him about the sex robot.
Malory: Yes, the.. what?
Krieger: I call him "Fister Roboto".

And then, after telling Utne to "Shut up! Shut up! Shut-- Shut--", he goes on to explain, very intensely, that the best part is that "he's learning."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Emmett felt very gypped by that!

Was it like they'd jewed him out of his comedy?

If you're checking me on hate speech I haven't given up on "gypped" as yet.

Why rush? They're only words.

I haven't given up on "crazy" yet either.

Yeah, they're about equivalent.

Yeah, they're about equivalent.

Well, on the Mark Watches board where he's reviewing Avatar among other things it's banned as Hate Speech. But it's not a word I have excised from my vocabulary.

So they're not equivalent but they're both things I'm thinking about.
