Are there no Veridian Dynamics ads in the second season? Noooooo.

I thought the same thing, P-C, but there is one in the second episode. It definitely seems like they cut down on them, though.
Yes, I just started watching the second season on Netflix.
I just watched the first six episodes of Community, and, as I had been told, it's fucking hilarious. The Spanish Disco Spider rap was one of the greatest things I've ever seen. We nearly died laughing.
Most of the characters feel more like gimmicks than characters, but I imagine that will change over time (the episode with Abed's dad was surprisingly effective, for instance). I'm already kind of tired of Jeff/Britta, but I am rooting for Troy/Annie!
I was late coming to the Community party too! My boyfriend and I just finished up season one (and I've seen bits and pieces of season 2).
The other day we were discussing how much French and Spanish we remember from high school (I took French, he took Spanish). I spouted off a bit of French and then turned to him and asked how much he remembered. He immediately started doing the Spanish Community rap. I couldn't have loved him more at that moment!
Is it just me, or did Tracy Morgan get served notice between the lines of Tina Fey's statement to the press?
I'm glad to hear that Tracy apologized for his comments. Stand-up comics may have the right to "work out" their material in its ugliest and rawest form in front of an audience, but the violent imagery of Tracy's rant was disturbing to me at a time when homophobic hate crimes continue to be a life-threatening issue for the GLBT Community.
It also doesn't line up with the Tracy Morgan I know, who is not a hateful man and is generally much too sleepy and self-centered to ever hurt another person.
I hope for his sake that Tracy's apology will be accepted as sincere by his gay and lesbian coworkers at "30 Rock", without whom Tracy would not have lines to say, clothes to wear, sets to stand on, scene partners to act with, or a printed-out paycheck from accounting to put in his pocket.
The other producers and I pride ourselves on "30 Rock" being a diverse, safe, and fair workplace.
That's a foot to ass statement. I don't think he's fired, but I do think he'd better come back to work groveling.
What a nice statement. I agree with David tho, but I would say more like "he got SERVED" not "he got served notice."
Maybe I was thinking "put on notice"? I didn't take it that he was actually fired, but that he's being made aware that his behavior is going to be scrutinized very closely when shooting begins and his boss is Not Happy.

Definitely this. She did make mention of his paycheck.
Yes, it sounds like he's "on notice" not been given notice.
