Shawn Ryan says the Shield series finale that he won't be able to work on is the best script the writers have ever produced. I find it highly suspect that the BEST STUFF IN THE WORLD is happening riiiiight before the strike. Hee.

The Shield is on FX, Laga, and I think they shoot their entire season before airing. I don't know when the last season airs.
As for not being resolved in time, I think the last strike lasted five months. Five months from now is the end of March, and that would definitely affect all season finales.
