they need to do a dream sequence or something then.
I can just see her doing that wide-eyed scared silent bit trying to get Brad's attention as Frankenfurter enters.
Damn, it just now hit me that the vibe in that scene is exactly the same as in that old Warner Bros. haunted house cartoon where Porky Pig keeps missing the things that are scaring the crap out of Sylvester.
Nah. Her and Finn as Brad and Janet will fit better into the movie she's starring in in her head.
Hah! This is great because it's such an indictment of Rachel and the Rachel that I was in high school.
Hard to believe, but NBC just picked up "Outsourced" for the rest of the season.
Really? Huh! I'm actually pleased about that. Last week's episode had actual jokes that made me laugh and good character moments, so I'm hoping to see it improve even more and lose the annoying "Indians, HAR!" jokes.
I only saw the pilot and found it pretty unfunny. I'm very happy that the show is providing roles for South Asian actors, but... You say it's getting better, though?
The last couple have been funny IMHO. The pilot, not so much.
Yes! I'm honestly pretty damn annoyed that everyone just wrote the show off from the pilot. The second episode alone was an improvement. I'm not saying it's a great show, and the mildly offensive jokes still persist, but I enjoy the Indian characters/actors quite a bit. And the last episode really did make me laugh a few times, even at jokes that were possibly offensive but also kind of clever, like when Madhuri says, "This is the greatest thing that has happened in my life. And also probably my past lives." (She also got the funniest joke in the episode, which was featured in the commercials. When Wossname is explaining a prank as Fire Escape: "First we set fire to their stuff, and then we escape." She responds, "I think that's just called arson." That! That's a real joke! That has nothing to do with anyone being Indian! It's just funny! And it was especially funny coming from someone as mild-mannered as her.)
I don't know. I just think it's a good sign when I enjoy an episode that barely features Rebecca Hazlewood and focuses on the annoying assistant manager, whose annoyingness is actually explained and who now becomes a sympathetic character.
I'm still watvching it, mostly because I'm too lazy to get up after The Office.
