thanks for the link. I didn't have a prayer of spelling his name.
They also used that version of "Over the Rainbow" on the episode of ER where Dr. Greene died.
Right in the middle of Quinn giving birth we got a tornado warning. I completely expected her to be out of the hospital and back on stage by the time we were returned to "our regularly scheduled programming". Actually got to see the end of the song and the baby being handed to Quinn.
Um, is that a ukelele?
I'm suprised they didn't do the Wonderful World part of it.
The episode I saw ended right at the end of Over the Rainbow. Did anything happen after that?
I've only heard it as the medley, starting with Finding Forrester. I can send a version to brawk.
ETA: From Wikipedia:
Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's album Facing Future, released in 1993, included a ukulele medley of "Over the Rainbow" and "What a Wonderful World", used in several films, television programs, and commercials. The song reached #12 on Billboard's Hot Digital Tracks chart the week of January 31, 2004 (for the survey week ending January 18, 2004).
I had no idea it had been so widely used. I blush to admit I never heard it until Jason Castro did it on American Idol '08.
To Sir and Somewhere Over the Rainbow! A one-two punch to the tear ducts!
Yep. I've always loved To Sir and that version just killed me.
