See, in my fantasy, when I'm kissing you... you're kissing me. It's okay. I can wait.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

HR Pufinstuff was on South Park on Wednesday. It was quite odd seeing him twice in two days.

I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

My mom watched that a lot when she was pregnant with me. That probably explains...something, huh?

Ann, that's a ferret.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this week's Office. A few random thoughts.

I'm not sure Michael's job at the telemarketer involved a bad boss as much as ridiculously high goals. Which may have been the boss's issue, but more likely the company.

I also have to wonder whether Ryan is getting ready to get rid of Michael.

Points to Andy for figuring out the way to get Angela's attention -- think in her terms.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

It's an odd episode alright. I think it's not very funny, personally, although there's a lot of great character stuff in it. I heart Jim, also.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I picked up the complete A BIT OF FRY AND LAURIE the end of last week, and though I've only gotten through a couple of episodes, I've got to say this is pretty funny stuff. Definitely worth net-flixing if you've never seen any. I've got friends who are huge HOUSE fans I need to show this to because they've never really seen Hugh Laurie in anything else, and it's an amazing thing to see where he came from.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

never really seen Hugh Laurie in anything else

A fun way to screw with House fans is to show them some Blackadder.

Thrive to spite them

They also have to see his BlackAdder episodes. Those are hysterical and so very different from House.

Did anyone watch HIMYM last night? The ads kept showing Crazy Hot girl, but it was more about how everyone met. I particularly liked the Marshall and Ted tricked Barney, and the sandwich running gag.

You know what really fucked with my head? Seeing House. (I'm very British).

Tell me about it. When they started doing promos for HOUSE, I knew HL looked familiar, but I didn't quite place him, so when they mentioned his name, my head exploded. If you had told me 5 years ago that Hugh Laurie was going to be a huge network star/sex symbol as an American misanthropic junkie doctor, I don't know which part of the equation would have made me laugh harder. Not that I didn't think he had the talent; I just never would have imagined it happening in a million years.

Several years ago (pre-House), a couple of years in a row, we did these seminars at work emphasizing customer service (particularly internal customer service). They showed one of the films from John Cleese's training film company, and this one had Hugh Laurie as an officious hotel manager. I think I was one of a handful of people here who recognized him. We wouldn't be able to show it now, because everybody would be so distracted by "Is that House? He's British?" to pay any attention.
