It bugs me that Rachel's dads have been described as so involved and yet, we've never seen them...at shows, the sectionals, when she's in trouble, etc. We get to see the mom, but not the dads? Feh.

I want to learn how to do that whole Safety Dance number and then start a flash mob at my local mall. Just when I thought I couldn't love Artie anymore, he turns out to be a straight up smooth criminal on the dance floor. How many times have I watched that scene back? So, so many times.
Last night was awesome. In addition to large quantities of Artie, there was the NPH/Shue Dream On which finally washed away all the ick from the Gokey Scream. There was Idina and Mini-Idina finally getting a duet. I loved it. Emma was back. I missed her. And NPH/Sue Sylvester getting nasty in Sue's secret room? Amazing. Nobody died, though. Joss was off his game.
I'm not a big Gaga fan, but Kurt dressed as Gaga doing Gaga better than Gaga? Gimme some of that.

See, I just enjoyed the fact that the kid who plays Artie can really, really dance. Not like kinda dance. That fool was breaking it the hell on down. He was keeping up with the kid from Heavy Impact and with Mike, who dances in League of Extraordinary Dancers and was in Step Up 2 The Streets (best dance movie ever!!!. And I mean what? That kid is good and it was so unexpected because he just does not look the part at all. I just enjoyed it as a piece of dance. I've decided I'm not looking for this show to get much right on a deeper level other than Kurt and Burt's relationship, and maybe Sue and her sister which manages to be touching and sweet rather than off putting. And I'm OK with that.

I spent the whole first viewing mentally repeating "this BETTER be a day dream, this BETTER be a day dream..." and couldn't enjoy it. After it was revealed as a day dream - bless, that was some fine dancing.
