Comedy 1: A Little Song, a Little Dance, a Little Seltzer Down Your Pants
This thread is for comedy TV, including network and cable shows. [NAFDA]
Yeah, the gag was that she didn't know which one was her biological father, but one was black and one was white. But still, My Two Dads would be the funniest.
Yeah, I'd be willing to overlook the bit from the pilot to get Michael and Joey as Rachel's fathers.
I wish Kurt had been a bit more understanding toward his dad at the end. Or at least had another heart-to-heart with him, since unlike Finn his issue wasn't an objection to his parent seeing someone at all, but how the bonding with the other party's kid made him feel.
For shiz.
Honestly, I think that Kurt is being a little unreasonable here. I understand why he's hurt, but his dad clearly loves him and tries very hard to be the best dad he can (didn't I sit through Riverdance three times). Yes, he can make mistakes by saying "guy talk" with Finn, but why should he avoid his girlfriend's kid?
All that being said, I think that the reaction is totally genuine for a teenager :)
Yeah, I went through that conversation in my head last night, and the "oh yeah, he's a teenager" trumps how I want him to act.
The writers have the selfish teenager, self-centric world thing perfect. I kept watching saying, "Kurt - knock it off.", but also remembering how I felt when my dad did "guy" things with my sister instead of me.

I was just coming in to say this.
God bless the folks who survived my teen 'tude. Ugh. I was like a less-appealing Godzilla. Seriously, I cringe at how incredibly selfish I was. I'd especially like to take this moment to apologize to my step grandmother who graciously hauled my petulant ass across the country in a car to introduce me to her Kansas relatives (from CA!) so that I could feel more like family and get away from my accursed father. She was a saint and I was very Kurt-like. It was as if I was chemically compelled to situational deaf-muteness.
That said, I am with Morgana on the Kurt-His Dad relationship. It really is my favorite, so I hope they resolve the conflict soon...with a duet!
From Billboard:
In this week's Chart Alert: Fox TV's "Glee" and the Queen of Pop team up for "The Power of Madonna," which debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 98,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan . . . It's the first non-Disney TV soundtrack to reach the top of the chart since "Miami Vice" way back in late 1985 and early 1986 . . .

Oh gosh, what on earth would they sing?
Even as I cringed at the Nazi mention, I did totally snort at the hating Duke thing.
