"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

That would be awesome! Sooo different from Ryan and sooo much better.

Always Anti-fascist!

Somehow I picture the sentence "Woman, you're on my last nerve," coming up a lot.

Loved Andy's serenade. Loved it. Endearing. That's not something I ever thought I'd say about Andy. And his friends being all, "So, what'd she say?" Really, very sweet. As was Angela's smile despite herself.

I agree that they might want to pull back on Michael a bit. The breakdown in the client's office last week was too much for me. Though his, "Oh, my god we kidnapped a pizza boy what the hell are we gonna do???" realization made me laugh. I loved the last bit where the random work guy congratulated him on calling out Ryan. That was classic.

I also enjoyed the "I told you not to film these things in my office," to Ryan at corporate. Oh, the cracks are showing, dear boy.

Punishingly Intricate

Oh, yes! And all his throwing around of business lingo was very Michael Scott...or, actually, more David Brent. Nice! In a painful way.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

What was Dwight's line about the computer contest? Something like "The computer said it was bested by me, but in reality, it was I who bested the computer"?

Oh, oh! And I loved Pam's compassion for Dwight, even as it waxed and wained (ETA: I mean waned).

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Yep, I'm with you Jen - 'you are the superior being'. Bless!

Ann, that's a ferret.

The "sentient computer" subplot just kind of fizzled out. I kept expecting an update, say, around 8 p.m. showing the Web site way ahead because it kept selling while Dwight was kidnapping pizza delivery guys.

I have to agree with those that thought the kidnapping was so far over the top that it was painful. It's like the writers are setting Michael up. But who takes over if he goes?

My instinct says Ryan is heading for a fall. A big, big fall.

Andy's serenade was cute. Whether or not Angela agrees to go out with him (and I vote no -- the cast shouldn't be pairing off with each other, though I'd like to see Angela go out with, say, someone from Pam's art class), he at least deserves to be acknowledged as someone who Means It.

I found Andy's serenade incredibly tackly and horrible. But that's Just Me I suspect.

I reckon Ryan will go and Jan will return. It probably doesn't make much sense, but I can't figure out why Jan is still in the show otherwise.
