“Not dead yet!”

They were working hard to get the "Smile" theme throughout. The Lily Allen song is terrible no matter how you slice it and it was fairly odd where it was stuck in, but the Charlie Chaplin version was absolutely heartbreaking.

Sue was especially malevolent last night and that was the closest I've ever seen Terri to likable/human. The actress really played the desperation well and you could almost understand what drove her to such elaborate measures.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I thought so at first, but I have issues with the way it played out. Too physically threatening.

I would have been really bothered if he had hit her, but I think Shue would have gone that far to actually let his wife know how betrayed he was. Nothing was getting in her head otherwise and she constantly took him for granted.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

How fucked up was "this marriage works because you don't feel good about yourself". WHOA! And frankly, she's right.

That showed a frightening level of insight on Terri's part. I didn't think she had it in her.

I doubt that she would have been able to articulate it if she had been asked, but she knew it instinctively.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I was kind of disappointed as well. Lily Allen song bugged. They couldn't find another song about smiling? Please.

(Also watching it was very uncomfortable given that I was at KBD's. Life imitating art, though of course he's not fake pregnant. However, my therapist said something almost exactly like "this marriage works because you don't feel good about yourself" during my session on Tuesday.)

Why don't you feel good about yourself, you're AWESOME! Think about it, am I friends with annoying or stupid people? No. Am I friends with cool people? Yes. Are you my friend? Yes. Ergo . . .

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that was kind of a tough episode.

I wish there'd been a tad more build-up to Shue's actual discovery, because it seemed like he went straight from no suspicion at all to certainty. I agree with Perkins that the physical way it played out was unsettling. But I can't imagine myself in either of those two's positions, and I thought it was acted well.

And also, seriously ouch, re: the statement. And smonster I'm sorry that pinged with the space you're in now. You're such an awesome person and I hope you find your way through.

Will is so isolated now. He doesn't have a support system in his school buddies. He's estranged from Terri and broken off from glee. (Although, I knew it was going to be an issue when he tore the plastic off the mattress. It's not like he had sheets. He might as well have slept on it in the plastic.) And while he hearkens back to Emma's feelings for him, she was right to call him on it.

What will Quinn do now with the baby?

I think that he'd known that something was off for a while. The fact that Terri never let him see her naked, never let him touch her stomach, wasn't having morning sickness. He knew that was strange, but it never occurred to him why. And why would it? Especially after the fake ultrasound.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

it seemed like he went straight from no suspicion at all to certainty.

That rang true to me. He found that pad and all of a sudden things he had dismissed and ignored suddenly became important and convincing. It probably never crossed his mind that Terri was not pregnant until then because, you know, who does that?

I also thought sleeping on the plastic would have been just as comfortable as sleeping on a bare mattress, that it was a plot device makes it a little more acceptable to me, weirdly.

Will has his parents, at least. I guess they are not close by, but I don't really remember, just the recent bonding with his dad.
