Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I heard some MM gossip the other night. Apparently he's got a rep as possibly the nicest person in all of music. A musician played with an opening act at a gig he was at out here. This musician (who is just a session guy, nobody anyone has ever heard of) has a sister, who has terminal cancer and is a huge fan. This guy contacted MM's management to get her house seats (which he assumed he's pay for) when MM was going to the East Coast.

Not only did they give him free seats, but MM called his sister personally to invite her to the show. He had her backstage and hung out with her for an hour. The guy who told me this, said there are a million stories like this about the guy, and none of them get any publicity. Musicians like playing with him, even if they don't like his actual music, because he's just such a stand-up guy.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That's cool. He was a session guy himself for a long time before he joined the Doobies late in their career.

Hey, he was on Katy Lied. Nothing shabby about that.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Sunday there's going to be a live action ATHF with Jon Benjamin as Shake and a contest winner as Karl.

Is anyone else made goofily happy by the pilot of Glee?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I liked it, but am not getting the over the top love that I'm seeing.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I enjoyed it quite a bit! I'm interested in seeing where they go with it.

It's on hulu/fancast, Laga.

It made me smile a lot, and I have high hopes. Goofily happy is a perfect description.

I credit about 90% of the enjoyment to the musical numbers... While I didn't grow super fond of any of the characters in the regular dialogue scenes, when they bust out with "You're the One that I Want" or "Don't Stop Believing" I go to the same happy place I occupied for most of Mama Mia!

It doesn't hurt that the pilot included three songs I have on iTunes.
