That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Ugly Betty:

HENRYYYYYYYYY! Yay! I have more coherent thoughts, but they were pretty much all wiped away by HENRYYYYY! And, okay, I love him even more now that I've seen him speaking Spanish. *fans self*

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Jim and Pam = cute as a basket of puppies. The joined talking head when the camera people outed them made me smile THIIIIIS BIG.

How much do I love it when the camera people become characters? THIIIIIS MUCH.

I have to say, the rest of the episode felt kind of draggy. I can't help thinking that this would have been a better, tighter episode without sacrificing all the emotional highs if it were 30 minutes long.

The previous hourlong episodes, I haven't had that much of a problem with. This one I agree felt long.

His talking head was pretty funny -- he's such a DICK, in a sort of Michael Scott way!

I loved that when he was talking on the phone to Michael, he sounded just like Jan. I think it showed that despite his being a horrid salesman, he can still be very professional in a corporate position.

And speaking of Jan...I continue not to like what they've done to her.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

How angry is Aimee?

holds arms open wide

Thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssss angry.

Why?

I FELL ASLEEP. ASLEEP. Smack dab in the middle. My last recollection is of Jan telling Pam to step off her man.

t bangs head on desk

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Aimee, the episode is online at nbc.com I think

I agree, it started to drag in the middle. However, that said, I'm not really complaining -- they're only doing certain episodes as hour longs, which is a pretty wise move.

My little shipper heart melted when Jim and Pam held hands. My poor heart. I'm just glad these characters aren't in a Joss Whedon show otherwise I'd be flinching ever time Pam goes near a window.

Punishingly Intricate

I was worried that when she told the camera crew that they were in fact dating Jim would suddenly get cold feet and dump her! or something horrible. I anticipate doom, I guess.

Like...the first four? I'm not sure how wise that is. People might forget it's normally a half-hour show.

Such a weird decision. I don't get it. If you're going to do them at all why not spread them out through the season and make them more like Events, you know?

Oh, I wanted to note that, in comparison, the hour-long MNIE felt filled out properly and more like an hourlong tale, though it looks like officially, it was a two-part episode smushed together in a block.
