Sean, I'm guessing because of this:
It's to help reassure the ones who are petty tyrants with fragile little egos that we really, really do like them.
Well, if he'd stop being such an insecure, petty little tyrant, maybe his employees would actually like him, instead of just pretending...
Heh. Well don't get me wrong--I don't think you should get him a card or anything. I do think that this is an invented holiday for Hallmark. I was just defending his bossiness. Or something.
You better not be talkin' to me, buddy. You ain't the boss of me!
Yes sir. Just please don't whip me any some more.
I have strange employees.
I know Daisy wasn't directing this at bosses here, and don't get me wrong; I've had my share of bad bosses. I'm lucky right now to have some very good ones, too. And I think Drew's a pretty good boss, too, from what I've seen.
Oh, definately not every boss. I like mine right now, so I was happy to tell them HBD!
I can see though that if you aren't particularly fond of the person who is dictating your life for at least 8 hours a day, at least 5 days a week, having to say you appreciate them is...problematic.
Michael Scott has a holiday?
Of course he always names himself World's Best Boss anyway.
