Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
so, I try to keep my paranoid off the board, but
Ellie woke up this morning with a fever and has vomitted twice. She also has seemed sort of lethargic and has been sleeping a lot. Her fever was 101.6 an hour ago although now it's 100.8. I wouldn't normally worry at this stage, but there's a dengue outbreak here.
Of course, joe left for the States today.
I would say "swelled". It doesn't sound right now that I am listening to myself say it, but it's what I'd say.
Head~ma, Suzi.
Eep, Stephanie! I certainly hope Ellie gets better pronto.
She's sick. It's scary. I don't think its paranoid for you to fear something bad happening.
If you want to take her to the doctor you should.
i think that if her fever gets to 102 i'll take her to rhe ER. Dengue has a high fever and severe headache and she doesn't seem to have either.
My coworker's daughter died of dengue last year and i know that's part of what's making me so worried.
Stephanie, if it will make you feel better, you should take her to the emergency room. You don't sound paranoid to me.
I agree, hon. High fevers are scary, it it's your little girl. Go to the ER if you need to, and don't worry about what anyone else here is thinking. We're thinking that we want Ellie well and you relieved.
Probably not beep me worthy, but I skipped ahead because...I have my plane and hotel reservations for Budapest. I'm all excited and freaked! Any travel advice is welcome.
Also, and I've said this before, but I really want to thank all you SFistas who showed me that travel by myself to a city without people I know off the internets is something I can do.
It was the baby step I needed to take my dream trip.
Swoll is not the first dubious word I've heard on NPR. Last month I was listening to a show about computer networks and twice I heard the word "securitize".
