According to the picture on this page: [link] I am more right-brained than left-brained. I don't think I believe that.
That is too freaky. I'm clockwise dominated, but, if I look off to the side and watch thru peripheral vision, I can flip it to counter-clockwise. And easily back to clockwise. Not so easy back to counter-clockwise. So I guess I'm more right brained... with left brained tendencies? Am I bi-brained?
In news of the day, y'all were FAR more productive than me. I got home from the flick @ 2am. Had to get car it's 105,000 mile maintenance, Saturday is 1st come 1st serve, close when we hit x# of cars. So best to get there early. They open at 7:30. I was there by 7:15. The line was already halfway down the BIG block. Miracle of miracles, I was out by 10am! BUT, being not a "I can wake up easy" person, I opted for snoozing instead of sleeping, in order to get up and out early. So when I got home ~10:30, I crawled back in bed. until 5pm.
(eta correct spelling for peripheral)

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.....
You have a
Prius,
with
105,000
miles on it??????
What kind of crazy-ass cross country driving are you doing when I'm not looking? My car is a 97 Ford escort, ten years old, and I only
just
broke 100,000.
yup, it's a 2002 with 104,961 miles on it. I purchased it in 2004 with 37,000 miles. Believe it or not, I've never taken the car farther than Santa Maria, Joshua Tree, and San Diego. I also offer to drive all the time. Between the rock-star parking, and a crazy ass childhood fear, ya, I like to be designated driver.
Holy crap you drive a lot.
I drive 45ish miles a day round trip for work commute alone. Often that is 6 days a week. Probably not as much as ND drives... but... now you know why I wanted a hybrid!
You drive a lot
in town.
You put sixty thousand miles on it in three years!
That's insane. You crazy man.
and I drive the speed limit (well... most of the time).
Probably not as much as ND drives... but... now you know why I wanted a hybrid!
ND drives a lot, but spreads it out over multiple cars.
Or, has been able to do so for several years now, anway. I suspect the cars he had when he was younger got a lot more miles put on them in bulk, but he was also driving to Washington and back during that time.
I make up for you guys. I think it ( Now) takes me 8 or 9 months to drive 3000 miles.
Sean, Drew easily averages over 20,000 miles a year in the Escape, but yeah--he does tend to switch into a new car every couple of years. I put about 17,000/year on my Prius and plan to drive it until it falls apart.
ION, I have an awesome idea for the blog I'm writing for Victor's online literary magazine and have done all of the research I needed to do to prepare...and now I have to actually
write
it. Must. Focus. It was due last night. Did I mention that?
