Assuming Lt. Hornblower didn't steer me wrong....
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Assuming Lt. Hornblower didn't steer me wrong....
The dictionary on my computer agrees, though it uses the ə for the "de" syllable, rather than a long e sound. Otherwise, all the same.
Assuming Lt. Hornblower didn't steer me wrong....
I always use Richard Burton's pronunciation on "The War of the Worlds" as my guide.
Whereas I have "Knights of the Round Table" from Monty Python in my head.
In war we're tough and able
Quite indefatigable.
etc
So far today I: went to Home Depot, put a second coat of paint on the kitchen cabinets, painted the pantry wall, cleaned the yard and grocery-shopped, all with my lovely DH.
Tonight we are going out for pizza, followed by going to see my friend Nancy's movie! Yahoo!
Tomorrow, hanging cabinet doors in New!House, couple of hours at the office, and cleaning and laundry at old house.
We have a very Buffista English department. We have a contest running for our upcoming student comments: best use of a cool vocabulary word wins. I am totally using indefatigable.
Re: Dancer
That thing
is
weird and trippy. I saw it purely clockwise (right brain, big surprise) and couldn't make it switch until I focused on the dancer's shadow at the bottom of the screen. Now I can switch back and forth. Very strange feeling.
ETA: Robin, that movie looks awesome! I'd heard about it on the radio, and I really want to go see it even before I knew your friend wrote it.
Today we:
Still to do:
ION, my GF has always been hawt!! [link]
Also, happy birthday to Cash!!!
I can haz Chai! Mmmmm!
Good job, Starbucks, selling Tazo Chai teabags (since I chose NOT to buy Chai when I was, you know in India. Out of perversity, because someone was trying so hard to make me buy it and was in a 'no, bugger off and stop hassling me' frame of mind. Whereas I should have been thinking 'Mmmm! Masala Chai! Why yes, I WILL be wanting some when I'm back in Bangkok!').
Gris, I actually find, to my surprise, that I like the white best. But both look cute, and indeed the hides-spilled-beverages element is worth considering (says the girl who ALWAYS ends up spilling sauce on her bosom. ALWAYS. Or it certainly feels like always, at any rate - sauce being pretty much my favourite food group, and my bosom being by no means a modest and retiring one).
Also? Bloody LOVING your dance moves.
Suzi - go you with the accomplishments!
So, good morning from Bangkok, good people. Today I am resolved to finally (after a year and a bit) go visit the enormous park that is just around the corner. Damn it. Granted I quite often have this resolution, and it never seems to come to fruition, but I'm hoping today will be the day.
I'm hoping that my resolve to go to the gym might also come to fruition, but it seems like a faint and foolish hope.
eta: Gloomcookie, you're not wrong!
Park! sounds like way more fun than gym. chai sounds better too. But right now it is more like _ I can haz beer! time. A neighbor had a birthday. It is way to much fun to walk home with your last beer in your hand. Poor DH is suffering from evil, but needed dental stuff from yesterday - he needs more than beer.
