[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Art Crawl!!!

There are millinars in Chicago. And I thought that there was a store in the Loop where the Church ladies would buy their hats.

Mostly lurking...

If you think nobody wears hats in Chicago you've never been near the south side on a Sunday.

I didn't say nobody. I just think it's much more common on the East Coast and in the South.

But, as with many things, I am speaking of my own experience, which means, I'm talking out of my ass.

Also, completely unrelated, my thesis adviser said I am an "indefatigable scholar" in a letter of support he wrote for me. It's my new favorite descriptor ever.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Oh, in Chicago, there'd be vintage stores. In Ft Wayne, nsm. I have to make do with Goodwill and Salvo. BEcause vintage stores might have hats.

I sort of consider Chicago a special case in the Midwest, and not representative of places with less population density.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I have a collection of vintage hats (started off my inheiriting my grandma's hats) and mostly I add on to it at vintage stores or estate sales.

And I live in KC.

Our wings are not tired

I babysat the backlot tram tour part of Halloween Horror Nights last night. It was wet. Very, very, very wet. I haven't gotten that wet and miserable in a long time. I think ND got wetter, by the end of the night.

Yes, it was kinda like the Poseidon Adventure last night.

Always Anti-fascist!

Haven't seen WMC yet...the reviewers didn't seem to take to it. But Kyle Secor's in it. God knows I've watched awful things for that. Next week, maybe.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I can't tell if it's any good, yet, but it didn't totally suck right out of the gate, and that one scene with Kyle Secor and Angie Harmon discussing pleas was fun in a very meta way.

"Indefatigable" is just a wonderful word.
