Wow, I sleep for a couple more hours, do some homework, come back and check the board, and everyone else is still sleeping. Freaky.
Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm awake, but I'm not exactly happy about this.
You and me both!
There's something about waiting up to hear that your mom is boarding the plane, then sleeping for a few hours and waking up to get her settled, then going back to sleep for a couple hours that isn't very restful.
Excellent poem choice, CJ!
Rugby vid=funny.
Morning=gronk.
I'm walking my cousin through importing a CD into iTunes and loading it onto her new iPod. She's so funny...just cracking me up.
Gronkies.
In toe news, I am wearing boots today. They give the toe more room than my sneakers do. Even so, I'm not doing much walking around today.
I came SO close to quiting yesterday. I am stepping up my search internally and am starting to search externally. I have a basic resume that I'm working to flesh out more - but I have something I can send if the opportunity arises.
oof, Suzi- does this mean your meeting went not so well?
I walked out of the meeting when they started arguing over giving the admin assistant, our new mom, VPN access so she can work from home if the baby is sick. I mean, she offered to work from home, not something she HAS to do, but is willing to do for the good of the team and they are going to argue with her over it?!?!? Hello - she wants to help.
Add in the backhanded insult of them telling her "Well, you just got back, so none of these problems were YOUR fault". Umm, the only other people in the room were the contract manager and me. So, my fault? Try the fact that you have us stretched so thin and morale is so low (yeah, the meeting didn't help that one) that mistakes WILL happen, but the only one I KNOW was 100% mine was a complete fluke. Not something to build a QC process around. All the other mistakes passed through multiple hands and NO ONE noticed. So...sorry, but that just tells me we are all at max.
eta - Oy, sorry. Still a bit bitter. After the meeting I called my supervisor in Boise and we found a job in San Jose that would be a big pay jump and I qualify. But it is 2 hours from home and I HATE commuting.
Oh, shit. Suzi, I'm so sorry! I meant to comment on that. Let me go do that right now. I'm so sorry!
vw, no worries. I have changed my resume since I last sent it to you.
