Harrow: You didn't have to wound that man. Mal: Yeah, I know, it was just funny.

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Class again tonight.

My lats really hurt now. They're likely to seize up tonight while I foolisly lie still for seven hours.

My abs are still sore. They will too.

HOW AM I GOING TO BREATHE?!?!?!?

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Leo the Late Bloomer?

Yep. I haven't had a chance to read it myself yet, but I figure I'll do it for her bedtime story tonight.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Susan, it's really the illustrations that make is such a cute book. Like the mommy tiger? So in love with her little late bloomer.

I just hit the JACKPOT on a hook for my senior thesis. I'm finally finding the kind of sources I want/need! Oh, this is so freaking exciting!

Congrats, VW, that's awesome!

I am ensconced in Seattle, eating very spicy pad thai. She asked how spicy on a 1-4 scale, I said 3. I don't think I've ever HAD spicy pad thai before--it's almost a bit much, but it's way yummier than too-sweet stuff I've had frequently. Yay!

Aww, glad to hear Laura is doing well, but hope she gets to come back soon!

Okay, so it's OCTOBER, right? Right? It's supposed to be 86 tomorrow. Freakin' 86. I like living in the midwest for its autumns

I know the rain is coming, and I'm not sure I quite packed the right clothes, but...it was SO NICE to arrive here in Seattle, after the past several days of Too Fucking Hot (80s!) in DC, and it's like, 50 degrees. I LOVE this temperature!

YAY Susan's library story too! I'm excited to check out hte Seattle libraries, because the DC one sucked so bad.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm off to Phillip Island tonight with Wallybee. Penguins!

I had a Vortex tonight, AIWFG. We had tapas.

yes it was! although I had a Drew and Kristin. We were all tired. But, when I got to the hotel, I got upgraded to the Regency floor. Free internet and the Regency club with free nibbles and cocktails at reduced prices. Also, breakfast and coffee in the morning. Yay!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Welcome to the West, meara!

Love the kids-n-books stories. Making me a little sniffly, even.

Nice upgrade, Vortex.

Sorry you are up, Emily. Or were up. I hope that you are now asleep.

I just got back from seeing Smokey Joe's Cafe, which was pretty good, but while I carefully checked the directions TO the theatre I did not think to look at how to get back HOME. Of course, I made a wrong turn early on and got lost in a tangle of interstates and highways for a bit, which is no big deal, but for a moment there I forgot where I was going - my new house? My parents' house? The apartment I lived in 10 years ago? then the part of my brain that really wanted to get back to my own bed and therefore keeps track of where it is slapped the rest of my brain around, I got on the right freeway and everything was okay. Just an odd little moment.
