[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hee. I should be available Friday and/or Sat. night. I will have a co-worker with me, but I can tell her I am meeting with old friends -- she's a big girl, she can go out one night by herself. I wanna ditch the work personage! Think of fun things to do/places to see! Cute boys! Trashy outfits! Boozy drinks!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Has anybody else used Amazon Marketplace? I didn't realize I wasn't ordering directly from Amazon until I'd already placed the order.

I've bought lots from the Marketplace with no trouble, but I check the user ratings first. Sometimes I'll pay more to get something from a seller with a higher rating.

Amazon Marketplace is where I usually buy CDs and books that are out of print.

I use it all the time. Just pick a seller with a high rating and you'll be fine. Many deal are to be had there, particularly as tommyrot notes, among OOP books and CDs and DVDs and such.

I use it all the time, and haven't had a problem with it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

What the frak, Aims? That sucks. ~ma for Joe and you both.

I was just extolling the virtues of the Amazon Marketplace today. I love it. Sorry you're having issues, Laga.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

What the frak, Aims?

Well, he had a meeting with the director of the department yesterday who was VERY hostile and rude. For instance - told Joe that she was being told that he wasn't asking very many questions, but seemed to be taking notes. She then asked to see his notes and when she looked at them and saw his doodles from the longer calls of people ranting (mind you - he was just listening in on these calls - not actually helping someone) she said, "Oh. Nice pictures. I'll bet you learn a lot while you're drawing." She then got pissed off when Joe said, "No, thank you" when they were passng out ice cream sundaes later that day. Joe doesn't eat sweets. Hardly ever.

She also made it a point to tell him that she was NOT a part of the hiring process with him and seemed to be very resentful of that. And also she said that him not overturning everything in his life to make sure he could get down to Ohio for training next week was "unacceptable".

He just got the call that "they feel it's not a good fit."

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck.

Well, considering she's the boss I think that's correct. She's totally nutbar.

I'm sorry, though. I know money's tight for you guys and jobs are hard to come by there.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Aw Aims.
