It was a great party, but I was rather surprised by the 'wedding'. It was a private thing.
Friends of mine did this too. She hated the idea of getting married in front of a crowd. So they had private wedding and then big party right after with friends. Much less stressful for the bride!
I think that the iPod would be worth the potential heartbreak at 40% off!

I had lunch with my old team at the Waterfront yesterday. Slowwww but good food.
Arrrgh! I have now missed two out of three department meetings -- this one with the principal -- for no better reason than I just forgot! I was sitting here reading my book and eating lunch. I went to make copies before class, got halfway there, and thought, oh, no. God, what an idiot! Guess I really do have to put it on my calendar every week.

Emily - this is your first year teaching, right? I think you should get special allowances for 'brain overload'. Actually, I award special allowances for all teachers, through the month of June. Librarians at large universities best stop reading that as 'brain overlord'.

Second. I'm just forgetful. Also, because of the placement and setup of my classroom, I can go all day without seeing anyone but my students -- sometimes I kind of forget the rest of the school exists, or at least has anything to do with me.
