I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Aimee, I just now saw your message for Joe, but I haven't seen him in a couple of days and may not even seen him tonight. Can you call him directly or get in touch with Drew? I doubt he's checked b.org in days.

No worries - I called the man himself and let him know what he needed to do. He said he's all checked in for his 8:30am flight.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

How has Em been doing with Joe gone?

Things went pretty well with dinner. She seemed happy for us. We'll see if there is any fallout in a few days.

She was pretty upset the first couple of days, but now she's ok with it. I told her tonight hed be home tomorrow and she lit up.

Glad things seemed to go well, babe. It'll all work out. Just remember that her crazy is NOT your crazy and you don't have any ownership of it. Kay?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Glad dinner was okay, sj. I hope she continues to be happy for you, that would be so much easier than not.

Yeah, it really would be. Even for her, I would think. The only weird thing all night was when she was horrified that I want a plain wedding band rather than one with diamonds.

Thanks Aimee. I'm really trying to remember that.

So cute.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Owie. I just totally wiped out on the sidewalk walking the dog. Palms, elbows, and really ouchy knee. I wasn't even drinking or doing anything stupid, just strolling down the street. Unfair!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Owie. I just totally wiped out on the sidewalk walking the dog.

Think of it this way. If there's a zero sum total of wipe outs in the universe, then you just saved Erin or Hil or Ginger some scrapes.

That is unfair! I like Hec's take on it, though.
