Ok. The professor I am working with this semester (I'm the tutor for her students) apparently paid me a huge compliment to the professor of my tutoring seminar. YAY! I wish I knew what the compliment was, but my prof said she'd tell me later. She was off to a meeting.
'The Girl in Question'
Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
The shot in the ad is very similiar to the scene in Fast Times from Ridgemont High where Pheobe Cates gets out of the pool? It's pretty much that excetp from behind and you can see Alicia's naked ass. And then Alicia lies on the edge of the pool.
All very very sexy and some of the people on the forum even said they didnt' think anyone would really pay attention to what Alicia was saying, just look at her body. I think I'm a little frustrated because I have the feeling that if the ad were for milk some of these people would be criticizing it for selling sex but since it's for PETA it's okay.
Am I over reacting? I see it and all I see is seduction and sex, I can't really see how it's just about showing what a healthy vegetarian can look like.
It made a certain amount of sense when they were doing the anti-fur campaigns, but for this? I don't think you're wrong.
I am basically a fan of all vegetables, provided they are prepared in a delicious manner (this does not even necessarily require bacon or sauce, just not overcooked or whatever).
I do not like radishes, though, they are too bitter and I haven't figured out a way to mellow 'em out. I guess I could try cooking them but I've always thought of radishes as a raw/salad vegetable and haven't wrapped my brain around adding heat to the equation. Next season maybe?
I am somewhat cautious about the brussell sprouts, because I've had them pretty bitter but I can sense there is potential there. Now it's about that time of year again, I'll give 'em another go.

I know I've seen recipes for cooked radishes. All I remember, though, is that there is butter.

Excellent. Butter 'n me, we're friends.
I'm showing too much boob today.
and the problem with that is??? Too bad it sounds like nobody is at work to appreciate... tho.. if you are commenting like that, maybe it's good thing.
P-C.. I feel your pain. I agree with the hive, you really did the right thing. Think of your shoulder. And being tense with stress while it's trying to heal. Maybe a compromise (and I leave it to you) is if she pushes it again, do the - suggest a nearby hotel- idea. And set prescribed times to visit, maybe meal times for 90 min or so each. Having had a couple back surgeries in my history, I know you just need to lay there and let your body recoup. {{HUGS}} it wasn't easy. But we all support ya.
And now for a casual observation. The past few days there has been much talk of kink and sex, and I am not complaining, that's what the description for the room said, and I'm happy to see it living up to advertising ;) But, as someone who still considers himself "the new kid in town" (dunno how much longer I can claim that), I can't help but notice that the board is a few years old, and the dominate topic of conversations that was sex talk has shifted more to talk of kids. Coincidence??? I think not! ;)
With that casual observation, I wish the wee one Matilda, a very happy 1st Birthday! Yippee!!!! :: throws glitter ::
I just got an e-mail from a writers' list I'm on about a very Buffista job: Executive Director of the North Carolina Writers’ Network. They particularly want someone who can increase the group's web presence. Do you think that's of thing that goes in Press?
Happy birthday, Matilda! I have very distinct memories of when she was born, because I bought her birth gift in Galway.
Today I am doing absolutely nothing except watching the Top Chef marathon and installing my mother's new iMac. And possibly packing the absolutely ridiculous number of clothes in this room.
I'd say so.
