I tell you I have this theory. It goes where, you're the one who's not my sister. Cuz mom adopted you from a shoe box full of baby howler monkeys, and never told you cuz it could hurt your delicate baby feelings.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Please. I just got a message from someone in the office about cornholing. I'm afraid to open the message.

It's a sport similar to horseshoes. Appalachian in origin in this country and experiencing a resurgence (at least here in the Midwest.) My uncle makes cornhole platforms and we've played it at every family cookout this year.

Congratulations to all the Miracleborns. Birthday wishes and housing freedom! Good on ya.

ChiKat, I posted an took off...

groom reached under the marital bed and pulled out a shot gun

Ummm...wow. That's just terrifying. My brother also has his masters in pastoral counseling, but from a Baptist seminary. He's a lot more fundy than me, but not as scary as some I've met/am related to.

There were some pretty scary characters in my program at Loyola, to be sure.

I'm not actually Christian. I went the pastoral counseling route because I wanted to be able to sit with anyone, no matter what their spiritual bent...or lack there of. Since faith and/or religion can be both a balm and a bane, it just makes sense to me to understand where folks are coming from.

Happy Birthday Aimee!!!!!

You got my watch for your birthday! Very nice. And the Victorian. Much nicer.

I got housework done last night, again, and got another bag of clothes ready to go to Salvation Army. I'm kind of hoping that by the end of the month, I might have an apartment that's clean and organized. Whoah! I'm getting kind of elated, even though I tripped in the garage while doing laundry and killed my knee. It seems better today though.

I'm crediting very little sleep and lots of coffee for this transformation. Not that very little sleep and lots of coffee ever did this for me before.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

This is very true and very sensible. You went to Loyola? Chicago Loyola?

Go, libkitty!! But be sure to get enough sleep. A month of sleep dep would not be good.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The coolest thing about Loyola? Their art department is in a building that used to be a House of Pancakes-ish restaurant.

Although the extent of my Loyola knowledge is limited to what I can see from the Red Line....

Maryland Loyola. Supposedly the top pastoral program in the nation outside of certain divinity schools.

Lots of ministers, wives of ministers (oy) and avowed religious and rabbis...and me. Interestingly, the coolest people were a couple of nuns and a brother who were the singularly most dedicated people I've ever met.

Good point, ChiKat. Maybe it's just the coffee, not the sleep deprivation. After all, if I'm just making this up, I might as well make it up to suit me.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

My DH has a tournament in NC this weekend but it is nowhere near you! I have told him he must plan better in the future.

Poor planning, indeed. (How far away is far? And are you coming?)
