Czech kings? I didn't even know they had them!!

So, anyone with experience with the credit bureaus? (Equifax in particular?) They're claiming my DOB doesn't match my SSN...which is an issue I supposedly fixed with them two years ago. They'll send me a credit report by MAIL if I send them photocopies of my social security card and a few other things...but I need to figure out WTF is going on NOW, since NOW is when people are checking my credit for apartments...and I won't be at my mailing address two weeks from now!

The status is NOT quo.

The problem is that if even one credit source still has the wrong DOB listed and reports it to Equifax again, you get the same problem all over again.

So when I got home a little bit ago, I decided I needed a brain break and threw Labyrinth in. David Bowie's still sexy, in case anyone was wondering.

So what can I do?? And why would they believe that one credit source over EVERY OTHER credit source? And how the hell am I supposed to figure out which source it is??

No idea about this, but I do know (unfortunately) that this:
So what can I do?
is just a matter of dealing with the irritating problem every time it comes up. Obviously talking directly to Equifax might help too. Maybe they can put a note on your file so that it's easy to correct it?
