Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
d - feel better! If not, I'll start making MiL's chicken soup recipe. It fixes everything.
I didn't unemploy myself again, despite dark thoughts in that direction. Instead, I continued a 9 [!]-year trend of talking about job suckage, then job suddenly doesn't suck for about 5 minutes, I am lulled, then it sucks again - but I believe that it might not suck in the future. I have been, of course, influenced in this belief by my bank accounts, which I also hope will not suck in the future. It's a way of life.
However, getting through the work day got me to World Cafe Live last night with DH and Iris' godfather (who drove allthewayfromBaltimore to go) to see the Handsome Family play. [link] Which was a good time. Currently loving the Tesla song - new fave.
{{Trudy}} May your mom receive excellent care and recover soon. Much health~ma. And rest~ma to you.
{{{Trudy}}} {{{Trudy's mom}}}
At least mom can't give me grief about it. I mean, if she didn't notice it, I don't think the Sunday School parents are going to and think I'm all rebellious and stuff
...it didn't look like an unnatural color. Would Sunday School really get bent out of shape if you dyed your hair a color found in nature? WTF?
Morning, bitches! I am almost never up this early (and I've been up for over an hour), but that lovely monthly reminder of femaleness woke me up. GRRR. But now I have taken meds, which are kicking in, and I have a lovely heating pad, and life is much better. At some point I"ll need to leave the house and get coffee though. Hrmph.
Trudy, lots of ~ma for your mother. May they figure out the cause and fix it soon.
I didn't unemploy myself again
::puts away the party hats and noise makers::
My parents are arriving this weekend so they can see the house. This means that they will be there for the inspection on Sunday and my civil engineer, type A, perfectionist father will be examining the foundation of the place. I can see both good and bad in that.
Also, I need to make subliminal suggestions to my DH along the lines of, "You need to buy your wife a Stickley sofa."
Happy Birthday, smonster!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAYS SMONSTER!!
The cashier, ringing it up, asked, "Is this for a costume?"
Probably the same cashier who sees me in full A's gear and asks if there is a game today. Or if I'm an A's fan.
These are the same people who hear D's middle name and ask "...as in Beeblebrox?" (This being apparently the only possible response other than a blank stare.)
quesadilla burger
Yeah, it's phrases like this that are the reason I don't eat at Applebees.
Congrats on your impending boy, Stephanie! I remember that ultrasound well -- the lab tech very ceremonially handed DH the pictures of his son's fetal genitalia, saying solemnly "This is your SON." We were on the floor laughing as soon as we got out of there.
Trudy, love. {{{hugs}}} Much ~Ma to your mommy person.
And Gc, ooof. I forgot yesterday cause I had the dum, but so much ~~ma~~ to you, and GF, and GF's daddy-person.
OI! Parents of Us! STOP IT RIGHT NOW.
Damned parents nowadays.

oh dear god. Granted, my dad didn't say that the 20 year old AC and Heater up here were probably both going to go kabluie! as soon as possible (and that they were more like 30 years old). So, unless you have a septic system, or unusual pipes... Many hugs to aunt and uncle sparky.
happy birthday smonster!
congratulations Stephanie!
Raq - I would have told her it was dinner. And then left before she processed it.
