But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm sorry, Cash. I know you were really liking these teachers and they seemed really willing to try to work, it. I'm vibing for excellent help and support and progress for O, and soon.

The status is NOT quo.

Oh Cashmere. I'm so sorry. I hope you find a place that will be perfect for both of you.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, Cash. How frustrating. I'm vibing hard for a fruitful session this afternoon with the speech therapist.

called my parent mentor within the school system

I'm so glad you have a mentor. One of my local friends has been navigating her now 9-year-old son's way through special education and mainstreaming and endless rounds of various therapies since he was 3, and having mentors and advocates on her side (and his) has made such a difference.

I'm just sorry you have to wrestle with this mess, and sorry for your tears right now, and sorry that we're not all there to give you tissues and coffee and a little bit of respite.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I'm sorry, Cash. Poor Owen. That sucks.

The status is NOT quo.

From the other side of the teacher's desk, I've been having a hell of a morning. So far I have dealt with a nasty email about last year's English teacher from a mother with a history of being difficult in general, a nebulous comment about an "anixety disorder" on a new student's profile that I have to follow up on, a frantic phone call from a mom about her daughter's major social meltdown and possible depression (and a request to meet at 7AM some time this week), and a student who forgot to take her ADHD meds and is bouncing off the walls.

Dear gods. Someone please put me out of my misery.

Some pirate somewhere may have talked like that, who can say?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

ugh. I feel you Kristin. This morning I got a tart email from a parent that said (in my words) "my kid has decided to go on this trip that is not academic and you don't have anything to do with. send me the names of the chaperones and a phone number, because you obviously don't have anything else to do but track down my kid"

Vortex, is this student a college student?

Because, um, yikes!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

d, news of the good is just what the parrot ordered. Arrrrr.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

::takes Kristin out of her misery and puts her into her happy::

I'm so sorry, Cash. That's very upsetting and stressful. It just hits on so many different areas aside from your concerns about Owen as well. Finances, your time, how it affects Olivia, stress in the marriage.
