Oh, smacked in the noggin with a 2x4 wrapped in velvet. Yeah, that's what it felt like.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

omnis, I'm glad your uncle is doing ok. And also that your headache got better.

Gronkily I gronk. But I have reason to suspect that Daniel is gronkier than I.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

omnis, sorry your intuition manifests as feeling bad, but I still think that's neat to have a connection that way.

WindSparrow (and Daniel) hope your day gets less gronky.

My friend and I are the first (and only so far!) to sign up for the Philly Tri next year. I'm excited. I guess 2008 is the year to get healthy and a lot more exercise!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Thanks for the birthday wishes y'all- I was able to get sufficiently motivated on Saturday to go to my friend's bachelorette thing, and get through it with only a little bit of anxiety. (I didn't get her a present and everyone else did.) (I suck at the present protocol.) Even though it wasn't my party, I got a piece of cake and "happy birthday" sung to me! I also had a manhattan. Eesh. OK, and a couple shots. Double eesh. And a hangover. Ah well, it was all in good fun.

Beers I drank this weekend- Two Brothers Bitter End Pale Ale, Victory's Hoptical Illusion, Ipswich Harvest Ale, Sam Adams Octoberfest. Also sampled Tom's Session-Strength Saison Style ale.

Nora, I suck at the presents protocol too. Also the appropriate tipping and card (birthdays, thank yous...) protocols too.

Glad you still had a decent time.

Ok, back to cleaning.

Librarian Warlord

I'm glad your uncle is doing okay, omnis.

Yay, cake for Nora!

I have slight kyphoscoliosis that usually causes me no problems. It only seems to manifest itself in two ways: When the yoga teacher has to give me a little push over to mid-line and when I'm wearing a slip and it starts to spin and migrate over to the left side of me like the one I have on today. At some point, it's inevitable that a student is going to catch me absent minded-ly re-adjusting here in my office.

DH is still holding out for Isle of Jura and Aberlour, but I figger I can lace his Crown Royal with a tot of honey and get the same effect for cheaper.

I've found Isle of Jura to be kinda salty, actually...

Our wings are not tired

Hey there everyone.

I just finished talking to one of the creative guys here in Orlando and it looks like I might be getting a DVD project through him and he passed my name along on another Disney project he's involved in, among other projects. Um, yeah, wow.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Wow. Go you!

(Hey - is there anything inparticular Joe needs to bring besides lawyers, guns, and money?)

All is well that ends in pizza.

Transmission in the Caprice went out yesterday. I had to drive the 50 miles back home in second gear.

Couldn't take the freeway, of course, as at maximum rev I could only get up to 45 MPH, and would not wish to sustain that.

Taking the $50 minivan that Andi usually drives, even though it only has 4 of the 6 cylinders firing.

Oof.

Incidentally, there is a street in Plymouth, MN called Nathan Lane.
