We're proud to say that the Class of '99 has the lowest mortality rate of any graduating class in Sunnydale history.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

I'm sorry to hear that. No one should have to eat pannini ass.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Jilli, I just heard a rumor that will intrigue you.

I walked into Pottery Barn yesterday and discovered that their entire new line of office furniture is all steampunk. There are nineteenth-century stop watch clocks, 1930s-style phones, desks that look like they should be in an 1897 machine shop, etc.

More Jilli fun: A particularly vampiric episode of Lenore.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Conversational highlight last night at the Empire Room was with AmyLiz while looking over vintage newspaper headlines for the Chron.

Decided that Plush Proprietor would make a great band name (or possibly a Justin Timberlake song title). The band that would open for him was also pulled from the headline: The Toy Charlatans.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

wow! I'm at the end! Woot. Spent all day with ND helping him with the Halloween thang. Also got to ride in the hot DiabloMobile. Sweet truck! Now I'm avoiding laundry. I've decided to pay twice as much an do it in the building, cuz I don't feel like transporting clothes today.

Fay, glad to hear you weren't on said plane. Laga, how'd it go? I didn't hear of your arrest, but I don't think I'm on your emergency contact list.

Also, Skype'd a friend who just moved to London. HUGE transcontinental move! Looks like her dreams are starting to come true! Got hooked up as a PA on a film shoot, and then got offered Script Supervisor... something she never did before! AND LOVED DOING IT. "I think I'd rather do that instead of Directing". Made a good impression, and will be a guest on the set for the new Harry Potter shoot! Cross your fingers!

OK,, now time to do laundry. Really. I swear. I'm going to. Maybe.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

The asshat hasn't come by yet

should we do an Asshat-Be-gone spell? If we all combine our powers from around the world, maybe he will get a stomach ache so just your sister shows up and he stays at home.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'm tickled to hear AmyLiz is enjoying herself in fair SF--how not, with such lovely hosts and tour guides? The haircut and color are faaaabulous!

I'm sorry to hear about Suzi's vertigo and Ginger's lack of bubblewrap issues. You'd think medical professionals would be able to diagnose and fine tune a whole lot better than they seem able to, given their income is significantly higher than most foreign car mechanics, and the job not that much different, you'd think.

I polished off the last of a bottle of 10yo Glenlivet we'd had for 10 years and it was num. Unfortunately, I can't afford a bottle of 18 yo Glenlivet. Nor do I want to buy a bottle of 10yo and wait. Again. Have settled on Balvenie, in my sojourn through single malts, and is very very tasty. 10yo LaPhroiag, tragically, is going begging because PTHTAH! nasty. I miss my Glenmorangie, actually, but finding the "ordinary" is more difficult now that the distillery is putting up "sherry cask", "Madeira cask", "double-oak cask" girly stuff. Just throw a nosegay of potpourri in the vat and call it good, okay? And gimme the standard stuff. DH is still holding out for Isle of Jura and Aberlour, but I figger I can lace his Crown Royal with a tot of honey and get the same effect for cheaper.

Right?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Unfortunately, I can't afford a bottle of 18 yo Glenlivet. Nor do I want to buy a bottle of 10yo and wait.

If it helps, the meaningful sort of aging stops once it's bottled -- the key to the 18-year is the 18 years in the cask before it's bottled, so if you like the way your 10-year tastes, go on buying the 10-year stuff for way the hell less than the 18-year-old.

Also, if you need to get rid of the Laphroaig, I believe you know where I live.
