I'm presently on the island of Koh Samet
I woke up this morning to NPR talking about the plane full of tourists that crashed in Phuket, and I just spent 15 minutes Googling maps of Thailand so I could figure out where Koh Samet is in relation to Phuket and Bangkok and if there was any way that Fay might have been on that plane. Yeesh!
(Logistically, no, it doesn't make any sense for Fay to have been on it. I'm assuming that Thai airline routes are more logical than American routes, where -- for instance -- if I want to fly from Ohio to Vermont, I get routed through Detroit.)
No worries, love - happily for me, Koh Samet is just a couple of hours' bus ride south and a quick speedboat ride. (I'm back in Bangkok now - it's quarter past ten.)
But holy crap, I understand they've found at least 60 bodies. How awful.
Fay, I'm glad you're safe and sound. I did the EXACT same thing, Teppy.
Gronk.

I've already been up for an hour and I catch a plane in a few hours. I need to pack.
Oh my, do I have some catching up to do. I've poked my head in via Blackberry a few times the past few days, but that little screen makes really reading peoples' posts a chore.
This is my bookmark post so that I remember where I was once I've threadsucked and attempted to get myself up to speed.
Drew is leaving again today. Orlando for the week. Yay money, boo not seeing each other. He leaves in less than an hour, and he was extremely busy working all day yesterday once he got home from Washington, so Ima get offline until then.
Have you ever gotten ready to go somewhere, to the point that you are ready to walk out the door, only to realize that your timing is off and you are an hour earlier than you need to be?
Yeah. Dork. Me.
Hee. See you in a couple hours, Suzi!
Are you feeling any better today, Suzi?

Hah! No. I am so not that organized.
In fact, I am someone who stayed up too late reading a book, had crazy dreams about having to do acrobatics to get into my new workplace (plus being lost, late, etc), and then slept in ridiculous late.
And no coffee yet. That would require getting dressed. Too much effort without coffee. Oh, the awful cycle.
Meh. The spinning isn't gone. But if I go slow, I'm ok. I'm just not very good at going slow.
