Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Happy Birthday, Nora!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

There are a lot of little things we do around the office that make things run smoothly. Little things like turning a card over or putting an envelope in a pouch. Most of the time my boss doesn't do these things. It's really no big deal- I come along, see that the boss hasn't done it yet, and take care of it. Sometimes it results in a minor irritation, like I've written something down when I realize the sheet I'm using was already signed off on and I need to start a new sheet and re-write everything. It's possible that if I miss something wasn't done it could result in some data getting lost. Is it worth it to try to get the boss to conform to the every day tasks the rest of us are already doing? Or is it better to continue to pick up her slack and only inform her when an oversight of hers has resulted in a major problem?

man am I cranky when I'm sick.

Listening to some Van Morrison while paying (huge) bills. No 20% interest on car insurance. Got enough to cover it and rent! Woot!

Off to ND's to help with Haunt stuff, and en route drop shit off at toxic recycle (electronics dump).

HAPPY B-DAY NORA!!!

Happy birthday, Nora!

EpicTangent, are you lurking?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Happy Birthday, Nora!

Seattle airport is on the list. Not only did they want my laptop removed from my carry on for the xray
I assumed this was standard. It's happened to me every time I have gone through airport security within memory. Including about ten minutes ago. Is this not everywhere? I just sort of automatically pull the laptop out of the bag and send them through separately now.

Have I mentioned I love PDX's free wireless? Love it. I hate leaving this airport and going to other, less wicked cool, airports.

However the coffee place gave me Really Big coffee instead of the Ginormous that I am mostly sure I ordered. But I've had a *lot* of coffee already so I took it as A Sign.

P-C, want me to try and ping ET on e and tell her you are looking for her? Iffen you want...

The status is NOT quo.

Happy Birthday, Nora!

Oh poor Laga! I hope you feel better soon, hon.

I think that the laptop is standard, but the rest of the electronics just depends on the TSA person.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Removing laptops is standard, but as of this summer at Sea-Tac (and possibly other places, though they didn't seem to care at BHM last month) you have to take ALL electronics out. Cell phone, iPod, digital camera and so on.

Sure. I'm going to be in San Diego for a couple nights the week after next, one night of which I was hoping to do the dinner thing.

It's the randomness of the rules and the different rules for different airports that drive me batshit crazy.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

It's the randomness of the rules and the different rules for different airports that drive me batshit crazy.

At St. Louis, they've been making people taking the baggie full of 3oz or less liquids and gells out of your bag along with the laptop.
