Seattle airport is on the list. Not only did they want my laptop removed from my carry on for the xray, they had me remove all electronic devices. Given my work this meant essentially unpacking my entire bag into one of those bins while a perky TSA agent told me I was doing a good job. It is a miracle no one is dead. At least I got a first class upgrade.
Yeah, Sea-Tac is just evil lately. I have this whole rant on security theater and how flying these days is meant to make us cowed and passive, and TSA being filled with petty tyrants who get off on making people jump through hoops because we feel like we have to behave or be put on a no-fly list.
Happy Birthday, Nora!! Let there be cake and laughter!
I skimmed 100 messages and then decided to just skip the next 600 so I'd be able to say that before Nora Day had passed.
Work has been kicking my booty. But it's Saturday and I have coffee, a couch, and a day of Nothing Planned, so life is good. For now.
Nicole! Enjoy your restful Saturday.
Thanks, sj. I have some magazine reading to catch up on (three Entertainment Weekly mags) and as soon as the mailman swings by I'll have disc 4 of Dexter to watch. Woot.
Ya gotta love a To Do List with nothing but magazine reading and dvd watching on it. As long as they're magazine and dvds of your own choosing, that is.
Nora, I hope Tom feels better soon. Do you two have anything special planned for today? And more importantly, do you have any special beers that you plan to drink today?
Happy Birthday, Nora!
Our agent called to say the house we liked (but put off making on offer on) has renters interested. Now we have to decide if we should make a low offer and see if they take it.
