However, has anyone in the DC market heard the radio ad for McLean Bible Church?
We have XM. For a number of reasons, not least the poor quality programming of DC radio.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

poor quality programming of DC radio.
In my house, we refer to this as "lowest common denominator radio."
Why is today feel so long? I didn't get into work until 10:30, and we had an ice cream break at 1:30, so it seems like the day should fly by but instead the clock is stuck.
Home from the doc and my iron treatment has been postponed until I talk with my hematologist next week.
For now the diagnosis is vertigo. I have some meds to try and I'm not supposed to drive until I get used to the meds and the vertigo goes away. If the meds don't do it, I go back and get a neuro referral. Oh joy. Now to read up on vertigo...
No driving. How does that work?
How does that work?
K-Bug starts carting you around like you did for her the first 17 years?
Lots of ~ma this gets cleared up soon, Suzi!
Oh, ugh, Suzi. I'm sorry, you. JenK had really bad vertigo once. I remember that. It was awful.
I just got off a phone call that has me seething mad. I cannot believe the audacity of some people. You call yourself a Christian. You call yourself my friend. And then you act like neither. It's just all about you and YOUR needs.
Um. I might be angry.
I just have large alone-needs.Preaching to the choir, Em. Preaching to the choir... Enjoy the alone time!
First, thanks to everyone for the encouragement. I have a meeting with an attorney tomorrow so I hope that goes well. She was *realy* excited to talk to me, which made me feel positive. And I got some good suggestions/tips over in LJ.
I'm glad to hear that Kelly Kapoor has some possibilities.
The following conversation I offer without comment. (But background first - my SIL, about 24, had a major eating disorder and MIL and FIL spent probably around $15-$20 getting her treatment.)
Last night, FIL mentions my nieces who visited them over the summer. He refers to the 3 year-old as "Gordis" which I think could best be translated as "fatty". DH asked why he called her that and FIL said, "Well, you know she's sort of heavy."
Dude, she's THREE FUCKING YEARS OLD! (Sorry, guess I had to comment after all.)
I was supposed to go to Greensboro (NC) to see a best friend's new baby
Are you in NC? Whereabouts? (I went to grad school in G'boro and have my brother & family are in Raleigh.)
"Well, you know she's sort of heavy."
Ouch. Is he the type of person that can be set straight?
A professor here really, really needs to be taken down a peg. Dear Asshole, No, I actually don't work FOR you. If you learn some manners I might work WITH you.

I'm in VA (Roanoke specifically) but have people all over NC having worked at a summer camp for a few summers years ago. I tend to pop down on an as-can basis to see them
