See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Heh. It's right next to my office.

Oh, man, this just makes me want to work in Emeryville even more. Lunch with P-C!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

How is the job search coming? Do you have a prospect in Emeryville?

I had one - though I think it wouldn't have worked out in the long run, with the hours and OT expected - that I had to cancel the interview for because Matilda gave me an ick, and nothing since then, but all my recruiters know that it's my one non-SF option (being perfectly halfway between home and Emmett's school, it's an actually doable and possibly even helpful cross-bridge commute).

Secretly, of course, I just want to work for Pixar.

I know someone who works at SQUID Labs, right by Pixar.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Meara, is this the site you're using? [link] It was a bit sluggish when I first tried to load it just now, so maybe they're having server problems today or something. I don't generally have problems using it.

Hah! I just checked the job listings at the Pixar website, and there's a payroll job that Hec could do in his sleep and a "Pixar University" coordinator job that I could do in mine.

Hmmm. Must ruminate. And possibly attempt to craft an ass-kickin' cover letter.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

First off, since I forgot to do this at 1am..or 2am... or heck 3am before going to bed... HAPPY B-DAY P-C! : throws glitter and hums into kazoo :

OK, so I get to work, and chatting on the phone with my boss, and he's like "O, did you hear, Houston is looking for a Sound guy... but then you'd have to live in Houston. Ugg". And for the life of me I can't figure out if:

a) he is trying to downplay cuz he doesn't want to loose me, but knows I've been grumbling about pay suckage

b) wants to get rid of me

c) thinks I should apply, because he agrees with my pay grumbles, and knows that might be the only way I see a significant change anytime soon, as it has happened with some other Production Department Heads.

O, and to add insult to injury, .Mac mail is being wanky. I can see I got a note from the Production Manager in Houston, but I can't open it!

My mom just told me she got me season one of Bosom Buddies for my birthday. I hope she was joking.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

That would be a damn strange joke.

To me, it's funny either way!

I thought she was joking and joked that she could keep it as my gift to her (she won it from a radio station), but she said no, no, I'd like it, and...I really have no desire to have it on my DVD shelf.
