Oh my god. What can it be? We're all doomed! Who's flying this thing!? Oh right, that would be me. Back to work.

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

The water/sewer utility out here charges an 80% surcharge on your bill. Sometimes, the surcharge is more than the bill.

Dude, that's just like EBMUD. My last bimonthly bill was like this:

ACTUAL WATER I USED: $1.65
Water Service Charge: $17.30
Seismic Improvement Program Surcharge: $3.20
Wastewater Treatment Charge: $19.03
SF Bay Residential Pollution Prevention: $0.18
City of Oakland Sewer Service: $36.10
TOTAL: $77.46

Does that seem right to you?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Does that seem right to you?

But hey, your water has been seismicly improved.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I should totally be working but I really don't want to. I have to get a slide deck done by end-of-day Friday, do reading and an assignment for my class by next Tuesday, and visit juvie hall Thursday night and Friday morning. I have no time to procrastinate and yet...

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Em is doing ok and there are extenuating circumstances to her not being potty trained

HUGELY extenuating. And, speaking COMPLETELY out of my field of expertise, it strikes me as a good thing that she's got something to control, you know? Her world has gone a bit topsy-turvy these last few months and rather than be a little doormat about it or get depressed she's all "Yeah? You can't make this change. It's up to me."

Lord knows where the child of Joe & Aimee picked up an obstainant streak... t casual whistling

So tired of applying for jobs.
So tired of children's television.
Trying to work up energy to take Em to stupid Treehouse.
Going mad.

Such a good Daddy
Such a good Husband
Such a good good man. A very good man.
You won't go mad -- Aimee and Em love you so very very much.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

That is awesome, and I think I need to give it a try. I don't suppose your mother took any pictures, did she? The resultant cute might kill us all, but I think we'd be willing to take the chance.

Ha! No. I don't think so.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

In earworm news... and pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space 'cause there's bugger all down here on earth...

share my pain. Share my pain!

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Cash and MM's talk of Grendel led me to look up the Wikipedia entry on the comic book, and lo! I did find the following bit of idiocy:

2007 marks the 25th anniversary of Matt Wagner's seminole creation, Grendel (emphasis mine)

You mean like the indians?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh, I hate this. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. I've got to keep Sammie confined to her carrier until I take her to the vet, for them to get a urine sample to make sure her infection cleared up after the antibiotics. She's sitting quietly in the carrier, which is worse than if she were crying. She's just in there looking out at me.
