Oh, I wish those council guys would let me have an hour alone in the room with her, if I was larger and had grenades.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

It doesn't rhyme with "Tar"?
It does, and don't worry Liese, it rhymes with Tar and Car. Doesn't stop people turning the 2 syllable version into Gary or Garfield or whatever. I think a lot of people can't deep down believe in "Garson" as a name, and so "correct" it. I know the Buffistas would not do this, but sadly most of the world are not buffistas.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ah. Okay.

I know the Buffistas would not do this, but sadly most of the world is not buffistas.

Ha. If only it were so.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The Kim Possible finale is great. I love Mr. Possible mentioning he wrote fanfic in college.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Hello, peeps! I am Kathy. It's not a nickname, it's my name. Most people call me Kathy. My dad calls me Kaff, but he's the only one allowed to do that.

And, my cat just rolled over and fell off the desk. Pretty damn funny.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

ChiKat, that is pretty funny.

I just got a text message from date tomorrow. Oy.

Also, my throat is all scratchy. I really really hope it's from that odd coughing fit I had earlier tonight and isn't what I think it might be. Guess I'll airborne up just in case.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I've mainly gotten "Wake up little Susie" and "Suzi-Q, baby I love you" sung to me. Oh, and Suzi Chapstick teasing. Not too bad. The maiden name was ripe for mangling and teasing - "Shake your Salami".

Tonight we had a good chunk of my dad's family together for dinner - it was great. We did get down to the name conversation and who uses what of the unpronounceable 14 letter and 2 hyphen last name that came with this side of the family. Most use a 6 letter shortened version. So far, I am the only married gal in the family and I took DH's last name.

So full of good food and so tired. It has been fun so far, but my aunt is going to kill me with her over zealous hostessing. I want to help out, darn it.

Amy - Sep 07, 2007 7:43:03 pm PDT #4685 of 10001
Because books.

I used to get a lot of "Once in Love with Amy" from old guys. Which was sort of creepy. Plus, my maiden name was Hall, so I got a lot of people calling me Annie accidentally. Oh, and for a while I heard a lot of that Pure Prairie League song, "Amy (whatchoo gonna doooo)".

Hey, all. Skipped to the end because I suck. You guys have been talky.

Always Anti-fascist!

I used to be incredibly adamant about NOT.Changing. My Name. Ever. (the person I was closest to facing this with though would make me Erika Estrella, and that was too cartoon for my taste.) Now I think I might, if it'd give me a name I wouldn't have to spell so much, and give me some distance from my family's, uh, jackhole legacy. But it's looking at this rate that that is So Completely Not An Issue, like private school for the twins. It is funny that, after years of struggling with an impossible German name, I get a crush on Keith Olbermann.(No, not even in an AU where we are together would I hyphenate that. Woof.) It does make me postal to see "Kieth Olberman" though. Which I do. A lot. Sometimes it's a good way to weed out the haters and the "Go live in Iraq,"-ers, though. Possibly my name will serve the same function for somebody.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

joy. Got to leave work early. Joy. OK, not early, but I didn't have to stay for the show. Either way. Joy!

Nothing like the joy being burst like your boss calling you on your cell to chew you TWO new assholes during drive home. Ahh, and since it was before 8 pm, it wasn't free minutes. Dunno which caused more cringing, the cheapskate in me thinking about the minutes flowing by, or that my boss was yelling at me for something that happened, that will never happen again, and no amount of yelling will change the past.

Ahhh, yesss, everyone is stressed out. Funny enough, since this afternoon went so well, mentally I moved on. Apparently I'm the only one.

eta: got page from employee saying:

for the record, everyone was ready on time... dispite things you may be hearing from [boss].

How can I hear it, my ear is clamped down from too much noise pollution.

The status is NOT quo.

Oh BC, I'm sorry. You know, if you decide you would like someone to look over your resume...IJS, there have to be theatres or universities that will treat you better, and they really couldn't pay you much less...

I hate the way your boss treats you. A lot.
