Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

This comic is particularly appropriate, given this discussion: [link]

Shit's all sorts of different now.

My knit gauchos were my painting pants all weekend. They are hereby ruined and will never be seen by the general public again.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Meara--you will have a whole new swath of girls to kiss! Which you totally will, I am sure.

By the way, we ordered this couch [link] on Saturday. It will have mostly-olive-green-with-some-gold-flecks upholstery. It cost us $999 on sale, which is still more than I have ever spent on a piece of furniture before. We figure it is worth the investment, since with a dog and two cats, it will last us forever because we can get the cushions recovered. Still--a grand, whoa.

Heh. I was thinking of that very comic, Steph!

Oh, i'm definitely thinking of that part. :)

Took shower. No FedEX. BOO

You say that as though you have more than the one pair of gouchos.

I do.

My two pair of twill gauchos are in fine wearing order. In fact, I'll be wearing them to work tomorrow.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Changing at lunch?

How very Diana Ross of you.

Punishingly Intricate

I did it! Well, kinda. My social circle is def. much smaller than what it was, but it's still a good one. It is harder, but do-able.

I did too. After grad school. It took a while to build up a new group of friends (which ended up including 2 very old friends) but, jesus, 10 years along I'm doing pretty well for myself social circle-wise.

but I didn't have something like the kinging which has a built-in social network complete with fun events. Even if the first people you meet don't end up being long-term friends it will go a long way to helping you create a circle that you like, I bet.

Trust my rage

so I naturally assume that people do the same to me and by extension, Em.

This is so me and this is why I don't like it when Ellie looks like she is wearing some random clothes. Normally, she picks the shirt and I pick the pants. I also exert veto power over stuff that's way too hot or not warm enough for daycare. Today, though, I tried to sneak an outfit on her while she was sleepy and when she woke up, she caught me.
